art review

Before I went to museum I did some research about museum and artists, I was very interested at MOMA Oxford Museum. Equally important reason is that all the exhibitions on this museum are very modern. One of these exhibitions is named'Origins of the Species'.And the works was by Lynn Hershman Lesson-a quite creativity artist. She was born at the Ohio in 1941. Lynne is not only a multi-talented artist, but also a film maker and focusing on the documentary films, lives and work between San Francisco, California and New York.

In the class i discussed Lynne's artworks with my classmates, and I think she really good at use different materials to show her ideas. For this work, is creative in 1974. Lynn Hershman Leeson invented "Roberta Breitmore" as a fictive persona in San Francisco. She created a biography for Roberta Breitmore, and Roberta accordingly was 30 years old, divorced and moved to San Francisco in 1974.With the Roberta Breitmore Series, Lynne use it to explores the then current zeitgeist, and also investigates the socially predefined role of a woman at that time.
