Lynn Hershman Leeson’s “Breathing Machine II” (1968/2011).
MOMA Oxford :Lynn Hershman Leeson
Today I talk about Lynn Hersham Leeson art work in the class. She's work is really make a profound impression for me. One of these work-Breathing Machine IV is a fabulous Venetian mask of a sculpture inside a vitrine – a wax face surrounded by glossy black feathers for hair, in which bright butterflies appear to be nesting. As you approach, the effigy appears to come to life, audibly breathing. One startling blue eye looks back at you from the glass case. It's very strong and powerful.I want to know more about her and his work.So I'm really looking forward to see these exhibition on Friday.
